The reason we are doing heroics is because this guild is intended for progression, not farming. Farming "Phat lootz" was never and still isn't our goal. We feel that right now this guild has the people, gear and talent to down select bosses on Heroic. We want to move forward through content not stagnate.
The reason for 3-4 attempts is because we know at this point some people still need upgrades for harder bosses on heroic and spending an entire raid week wiping on Marrogar isn't going to help us progress to the harder bosses. We also would like to get some more LK kills so people don't forget the fight.
Further, though unintended we hope this week was a wake up call for some. Hard modes are hard. You have to know the strats and mechanics of every fight. Standing in the wrong place will kill you and you don't do max damage when dead. What you could get away with before you can't now. Though the Raid Leader will give direction, it is your responsiblity to know the fight.
To this end I must thank Holy for she has posted an entire set of hard mode strats in this very area. If anybody hasn't seen them take a look. As well everyone should be familiar with tank spot. There is more information there as well as other places.
As for people getting upset with wipes, let me say again this guild is focused on progression. Wipes will happen. If anyone feels that progression through content is not what they are after, this may not be the guild for them. We open the guild bank for repairs, we hand out food and flasks. In return we ask you to put in the time to learn you toon, gear gem and enchant it properly (we will help here too if we can), learn the fights and ,to put it bluntly, to harden the fk up.
