Guild Application Format and Classes Needed Empty
PostSubject: Guild Application Format and Classes Needed   Guild Application Format and Classes Needed EmptyFri Mar 26, 2010 9:56 pm

All classes currently filled, we are always taking exceptional players. If you feel as though you are one please apply.

is a raiding guild focused on progression. We are recruiting geared players to fill 25-mans. We're currently 9 of 12 ICC 25 and 11 of 12 ICC 10. Raid nights are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 7:45pm EST.

The current openings are:

Mage
Enhancement Shaman
Restoration Druid
Tank (prefer Paladin or Druid)

We are looking for the following qualities:

- Know your class and spec
- Take the time to gem and enchant your gear
- Know the raids (if you don't know them, must be willing to learn them, i.e. TankSpot videos)
- Put 100% effort and concentration into each raid you attend
- High raid attendance
- Able to thrive in a progression-based environment
- Good attitude, i.e. no drama and able to maintain focus and attitude through progression wipes
- Must not be here just for loot

Before filling out the application further below, please read a synopsis of our loot system:

Attendance: We raid Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 7:45pm EST - 10:30pm EST. You must have 80% raid attendance over the course of 2 months. If you need to be absent from a raid, tell a raid leader or officer or post on the forums, otherwise your raid attendance will be triple-striked for not saying anything.

Guild Rank: You start as an initiate with a 2 week trial period. If you do well on your attendance after the 2 weeks, you will be promoted to member, and then after another 2 weeks to veteran. Members and Veterans have priority over loot no matter how big of an upgrade it is for Initiates. Veterans have top priority over Members for Trinkets, Lich King weapons, and 277 (Heroic) gear.

Upgrades: Know your loot, but realize that it is a tool for end game progression. Care about the guild getting loot as a whole to progress instead of just thinking about yourself; nobody can do this alone. If there's a better upgrade for you on another boss, wait for it so that other people can get upgrades as well, otherwise you will have to wait even longer to get the piece off another boss you really wanted.

Loot Rules: We use attendance, member status, upgrade loot council. 1 piece per raid unless other raiders do not need it. Members and Veterans have priority on loot, and this means Members and Veterans may occasionally get more than 1 piece per raid if only Initiates also need it. Off spec loot will occasionally go to someone (with priority) who we commonly ask to use their off spec for certain progression fights at the Council's discretion.

How our loot works:
- Loot is linked in raid by Loot Master and will call for MS upgrade.
- If it's an upgrade for you: link your current equipped item in officer chat (this is when the Council will determine whether or not the said item is an upgrade for you; if it is you are eligible to receive the upgrade.
- Council will give the item to the player that it's the biggest upgrade for. If more than one person qualifies for the item with equal priority, you will be told to /roll (highest roll wins, of course).
- When the Loot Master calls for OS loot, it's obviously for off spec but anybody that will use it for their current off spec can roll. Again, there are cases where a person that is commonly asked by the Raid Leaders to use their off spec for progression will have higher priority for off spec loot.
- Items such as Trinkets and Lich King weapons are generally very coveted items, and (especially for trinkets) the itemization involved isn't as clear as pure item level. These items are decided by the Loot Council, no questions asked.
- Loot decisions are final. If you are the type of player that's going to complain about who gets a piece of loot, find another guild and please /gquit immediately (more importantly, don't even bother applying).

Please make a thread with the following format:

I. Name and class:
Include your spec and a link to your armory, and a screen shot of your UI. Please tell us about your offspec too, and how well you know how to play it.

II. Who are you?:
Tell us about yourself. We don't need all the details, but try to say something so we can get to know you a little.

III. Scheduling conflicts:
We raid at 7:45pm to 10:30pm EST on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and often run 10-mans on the other nights. If you can't make certain nights or times, we need to know. Note that we expect high raid attendance from all of our members.

IV. Experience:
How much experience you have in World of Warcraft (both raiding and not raiding), and the character you want to raid with. Don't worry if you just geared up a new 80, and don't worry if you have only raided a little. We want to know what we're working with, and if you strive to succeed at playing your character the best it can be played, we will take a serious look at your application, regardless of experience.

V. Previous guilds:
Please tell us what guilds you have been in within the last few months. We would like to know why you are no longer with them, or are thinking of leaving them.

VI. Why do you want to join us?:
We want to know why you want to be with us. We're looking for members that want to stay in the guild they choose to join, not a guild-hopper and not someone that's going to join and then go inactive after a few raids.

VII. What's more important to you: getting loot upgrades, or seeing more progression content?:
We want to know why you want to be with us. We're looking for members that want to stay in the guild they choose to join, not a guild-hopper and not someone that's going to join and then go inactive after a few raids.

VIII. Do you know us?:
If you know us already, please tell us who you know from our guild. For instance, if you've helped us fill 25-man spots in the past, or were in another guild with a current member. This won't make or break your application, we just like knowing about any already existing relationships.
